How Architectural Lighting Solutions Company Feilo Sylvania Attracted over 5000 Visitors to Their Exhibition Stand Using ScreenCloud

ScreenCloud Case Study Hero

Attracting more than 5000 visitors to a stand, with interactive demonstrations using ScreenCloud.

Feilo Sylvania is a leading, full-spectrum provider of professional and architectural lighting solutions supplying internationally state-of-the art products and systems to the public, commercial and private sectors. Following a recent acquisition, they were due to exhibit at the bi-annual industry tradeshow Light + Building 2016, (Frankfurt, 13‐18 March 2016) which welcomes 216,000 visitors through its doors, from over 160 countries.

Initial digital signage aims:

  • To launch a new brand within an exhibition.
  • To use a bespoke solution that would allow visitors to temporarily take over the screen.
  • To find a solution that could also be used in physical showrooms.

Here, we talk to David Aobadia, Senior Marketing Operations Manager, at Feilo Sylvania Europe Ltd. on his use of ScreenCloud.

Digital signage journey

This year at Light + Building we wanted to use a digital signage solution to manage six screens and a four screen videowall across our exhibition stand.

Following the acquisition of our company in January this exhibition was a key chance for us to present the new conjoined company to the world both internally and externally.

Digital signage used

We used ScreenCloud to run dedicated content across four single screens around the stand that would focus on the key application segments for the products. These were office, retail, logistics & industry and smart outdoor lighting within residential, consumer & hospitality. Each screen ran a dedicated playlist to each application segment with a mix of images and videos. Everything was loaded online through ScreenCloud and the screens were scheduled for the days of the show.

We also had ScreenCloud running a single screen and a 4x4 videowall made up of 55” screens that showcased partner products and programmes. ScreenCloud was set to change the content between the Organic Response Portal, a partner product able to detect the motion of people moving live whilst on the stand and a playlist of corporate videos.

The booth also had iPads playing Feilo Sylvania’s virtual showroom. This allowed visitors to play around the showroom and then double-click to push content to the screens in front of them to display a product or application image, temporarily overriding the screen’s playlist at that time.

This solution created engagement and excitement with the prospects and was developed as a bespoke solution very quickly so hats off to the guys from ScreenCloud and the virtual showroom.

Results using ScreenCloud

During the show the stand was able to attract an estimated 5,418 visitors and 150 colleagues from across the world, all who were able to experience the products and application segments through ScreenCloud.

The application that we used on the stand through ScreenCloud will now be rolled out across the UK and Europe to our physical showrooms. The staff can then begin using ScreenCloud within the individual showrooms to create personalized welcome messages for customers and show off presentations, brochures, videos and anything else that will have been prepared for that particular event.

This application will also be used within other trade fairs for the Feilo Sylvania stand presence.
